Story and Setting

You are a prisoner held against your will. You have no memory of who you are or why you are here, all you know is that you must escape at all costs. One day, a Warhammer mysteriously appears beside you, helping you break free from your chains. Will you escape this dangerous prison with deadly monsters or will you rot in here FOREVER???

Mechanics

• Attack enemies
• Block incoming enemy attacks
• Manage your health and stamina
• Pickup, store and consume potions to replenish your health and stamina.
• Defeat the guards and the warden to escape.

Thoughts on software engineering

Something we found interesting about the design of the game is that the core is very simple, but writing it out became a difficult task. With only mechanics that are pretty baseline in today’s standards, the game was still very difficult to fully explain in words every aspect of it. Just the tiny minute differences between things and the amount of cases that could happen while playing the game extended the software engineering exponentially. So it is now very obvious to me how difficult it must be able to write out a full scale production game.
